My slab is designed after St. Anne's Church in Dublin, Ireland. What drew me to the building was it's bright red door and arch-like windows. I started with rough shapes like the archway around the door and top most part of the church. The carving portion of the slab took much more patience in order for the windows to be uniform. I used watercolor to tint the slab gray and used it to make the details I carved out more dramatic. For the door of the church, I used acrylic paint so that it would be more vibrant. I'm very happy with the outcome of this project.Â
