I’ll be honest, when this project was first assigned, I wasn’t excited about it. I struggle to create anything that doesn’t feel meaningful, so I chose to take an abstract approach rather than a non-subjective one. Out of all my ideas, this was the only form that actually felt right. I wanted the piece to be visually engaging, even within the limited constraints.
From the beginning, I knew I wanted to work with a yellow and black color scheme. But once I started painting the figures, I realized the yellow would be more effective if it gradually faded into white toward the bottom. That small shift made a big difference.
In the end, I’m genuinely proud of how this piece turned out, especially considering how unenthusiastic I was when I first started.
